For those of you that don’t know, Widgetbucks.com provides PPC advertising to your blog or website. Every time someone clicks on the Widgetbucks ad unit, you get paid. They also have a pretty nice referral program which has been well broadcast throughout the web. Anyway, through this referral program you can get a free $25 for simply signing up. They pay out once you earn your first $50 so it puts you well on your way.

According to the Widgetbucks website, when you refer someone to their service you get paid as follows:

When you refer a new WidgetBucks user, you will receive a 10 percent referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people you refer. You’ll receive this 10 percent for the full 12 months after the new member joins. Your referral fees will be credited to your account and paid monthly, along with your commission payout. So, if you refer someone, and they make $100 in commissions, we pay you $10; if they make $1,000, we pay you $100. This continues for a whole year on all the commissions they earn. The Referral/Bonus page has details on the Bonus and Referral Program. When you are logged-in, go to the Referral Tools page to grab referral ads. You will soon see a “Grab this Widget” link on all widgets for viral distribution, which includes your referral information.

For those of you that operate your blog on the wordpress platform there are some things you need to do in order to get the widget to work on your site as it uses Java Script. Anyway, as usual wordpress has a nice explanation of how to make widgetbucks jive with your blog.
