BuzzShed is a new service that I came across while on the net today and I must say that it seems interesting. I went ahead and registered because they claim to provide you with video clips that you watch in exchange for cash.
However, I am a little bit skeptical because of a couple of things. First, these clips are emailed to you daily–Now how annoying might that be? Secondly, while I was registering for this service I encountered something else–a ridiculously long form that asked me a myriad of questions from my birth year to how much money I make per year. That was just somewhat annoying (yet, I finished it because I wanted to be able to provide you a review of this thing after using it for a while).

So like most things there are some drawbacks. But what about the positives? Well to start they reward you for putting up with the annoying survey by providing you a link to refer your friends–every referral is equal to a $1.00 credit to your account (nice!).

Shameless plug time: try the service out using my referral link. Thanks in advance everyone.

Another positive is that you can receive only 2 videos per day. Anything more and it might clog your email inbox. Just so you know they pay no less than $0.30 per video watched (and they say it can be much more as it is determined by the advertisers) but you do have to confirm that you’ve watched it by answering an “obvious” question based on the video.

I am going to run this for a week to see how it goes. If I hate it I will be deleting my account. If it works and it isn’t too annoying I will write a follow-up post talking about my first week using the service.
