Go to an interview and get paid for your time. This makes a lot of sense doesn’t it? A website known as notchup.com is attempting to give prospective employees an incentive to schedule and keep the appointment for that all important interview.

The website claims that they look for outstanding candidates who have gone to well known colleges and universities (here in the US and abroad), people who have had work experience in VC backed companies, or fortune 500 companies are also given extra credential points. They also seem to value a professional profile when you demonstrate that you can move up the ranks at your company.

Although this isn’t a way to make money directly online, I thought it was worth a mention because of the press coverage that this service has received as of late plus the fact that in order to even have a chance of being set up for a paid interview you need to register with them online.

I might actually try this to see if A) they accept my resume B) they are able to set up any interviews on my behalf C) actually pay in a timely fashion. I’ll keep you posted on A through C when I finally get around to setting up my profile.

Has anyone had any luck with this service? I’d be interested to find out what your experience has been.
