Bluehost came to my attention quite some time ago and although I visited their website several times, I was always hesitant to sign up. The reason was the comfort of using Yahoo to host my site which allowed me to not have to worry about transferring all the files on my domain to a new host. However, my curiousity got the best of me and I made the leap to Bluehost earlier this year. You see, I had grown tired of paying $11.95 for a service that I could get for approximately $4 less per month at Bluehost. That seems small, but when you do the math on 12 months of hosting you are out an extra $48 dollars per year. That’s money that can be better spent on other things–like buying ad space or keywords to drive traffic to your site.
Making the switch really was the best thing for me (and perhaps it would be for you as well) because I saved $48 dollars, I moved from a host that allows you to host one domain to a host that seems to host as many domains as you’d like, Bluehost supports a bunch of great stuff (i.e. ruby and php), and best of all they have one click installs of Joomla, Wordpress, osCommerce, and ZenCart through Fantastico Deluxe. If saving $48 seems like a good idea, check out their demo.
Update 12/05/07: Well I just noticed something that is going to make Bluehost an even more attractive option for hosting: They added another 300GB of Hosting Space for a total of 600GB. Plus they just added 6,000 GIGS of transfer and a site builder which might be useful to some of you.

Thanks. I explored the bluehost cPanel myself and it looks a-ok. Still haven’t made the switch though.
